$ 420.00

Balinese Dewi Sri Bronze Statue Rice Goddess Lost wax Art Sculpture. Crafted in the lost wax cast method of bronze. Standing upon a lotus base,  holding a stalk of rice over her shoulder and hands formed in a mudra. Nice verdigris patina.

Dewi Sri represents the Rice Mother or Cili as she is known as in Bali. She is one of the most important Goddesses on this mainly Hindu island. She is the symbol of Fertility and Abundance in the Agrarian Culture of Bali where rice is the main staple of the diet. Each rice field has a small temple dedicated to this Goddess where offerings are made to her to insure an abundant rice harvest.

You will be receiving the exact sculpture pictured here. As in all my fine Hindu and Buddhist art this is OOAK. Please review the photos above.
