Ganapati Ganesh is hand carved by Ketut Mesin from a solid chunk of very high quality crocodile wood. The wood has a beautiful clear wood grain and left natural and waxed, the nubby bark for which the crocodile tree is named for is left on the base for a nice contrast on texture and color.
Ganesh is sitting with his big round belly which symbolizes generosity, the jeweled jar in his right hand and a sacred lotus blossom in his left hand, the symbol of enlightenment.
You will recieve the exact carving you see here. This is not a stock photo. All of my fine Hindu and Buddhist sculptures are one of a kind works of art that I choose by myself directly from the artist in Bali, many who I have had relationships with for 20 plus years now.
