Balinese Dewi Sri Mask known as Cili or the Rice Mother she is the symbol of fertility in Bali's rich agrarian culture. She is the most important goddess to the Balinese, as she presides over the life giving rice terraces. There are shrines to honor Dewi Sri in every rice paddy all over Bali. Offerings are given to her at the beginning of planting the rice seedlings to ensure a bountiful harvest of rice, as well prosperity and abundance.
Hand carved from wood and painted in rich polychrome tones. Including a hook for hanging on the back. Please expect slight differences in painting and carving due to have hand crafted origins of this unique mask.
