The Handmade Batik process is a form of wax resist dyeing It is an ancient art form developed in Indonesia and recognized as a World Heritage Art.
Molten wax is drawn onto the fabric with a canting tool and the dye is brushed onto the fabric. The wax creates a resisting blocking the dye. Once completed the wax is removed with boiling water. It is slow and labor intensive process.

You may machine wash in cold water on a gentle cycle and hang to dry, or dry on a cool cycle in
your dryer.
