Dewi Sri Fertility Goddess Garden Statue, she is the Goddess of rice and symbol of fertility in Bali. Every rice farmer in Bali gives offerings to Dewi Sri to assure an abundant rice harvest. Each rice field in Bali has a shrine dedicated to this most important life giving Balinese Hindu goddess.
Very nice details include the ornate headdress and earrings. The back of the head is also very nicely detailed. Hand crafted in Bali by a family of stone carvers, cast from volcanic sand, lava stone and concrete in Bali. The master to form the mold for this casting is hand carved with great details giving this pieces a beautiful authentic feeling. The earthy gray color and texture are just beautiful. I have several of these in stock, each statue may be slightly different coloration due to the hand made nature of this product. This just adds to the beauty of this unique statue.
