A Fictitious Animal, the "North American house hippo" is a small, timid creature found in Canada and the eastern United States. Known to sleep up to 16 hours a day and eat crumbs, raisins, and tidbits of food. They are also rumored to have built nests in closets using lost mittens, dryer lint, and string.
