Hand-loomed warp ikat textile hand woven cotton cloth with octopus like motif, with fringed edge. Perfect to use as a wall hanging, throw or light blanket. The threads are pre-dyed (ikat literally means to tie in the Malay language ) by tightly wrapping the cotton threads with raffia in a predetermined motif. Once the threads are wrapped they are and hung to dry. Once dry the threads are set onto the loom into the predetermined motif, then painstakingly woven by hand on these simple primitive looms thread by thread.
