Agung's Bio: My name is Anak Agung Gede Putrayasa. I was born in Ubud Bali on July 27th, 1983. Ubud is a small village very rich in culture and arts, in fact Ubud is the Art & Cultural Heart of Bali. Our life here is rich in art for our Hindu religion, there is no escaping it. Many Balinese are artist in painting, sculpture, wood carving, dance and music.
I started painting as a child because all of my family are artist, mostly traditional Balinese style painting. But I have always been interested in modern art. So I continued my studies at the Indonesian Institute of Art in Bali. I am very inspired by Gustav Klimt and have always looked to his work for inspiration in developing my own style & technique. I love the Tree of Life because I feel the trees and forest are so important for the health of planet Earth and to prevent global warming for future generations.
