Lotus Pose Shiva Lord of the Universe Wood Carving, this is an amazing work of spiritual art. Carved from one single chunk of suar wood by by Master Carver Pak Nyoman from Ubud Bali. Suar wood is prized by the Balinese for it's amazing interlocking grain that is resistant to cracking, it is perfect for carvings like this.
The hands of Shiva held in his lap in a mudra. His hair is carefully carved into a swirling bun atop his head, a cobra is draped around his neck, and each arm is encircled with a cobra bracelet as he sits upon a scared lotus base.
The carving is polished with wax and left the natural color. It is also a very dense and heavy wood that will last you a lifetime.
