Tribal stylized Primitive Sumatran Horse Betel Nut Lime Container, hand cast in bronze using the lost wax method by talented crafts people of Indonesia. The graceful lines have a beautiful ethnic tribal flair. The lid for this unique container is a stylized rearing horse which opens to a reveal a chamber for stashing medicines or betul nut. Tribal designs decorate the sides of the horse. The bronze was a lovely green verdigris patina. This is in the primitive style that you would find in North East Sumatra near lake Toba , from the Batak Tribal people.
