Vintage Bronze Dewi Sri Statue picked in Klungkung Bali. Nice aged verdigris patina. Hand formed into a mudra, she is standing upon a lotus cushion and surrounded by an intricate halo or aura.
Dewi Sri is the Balinese Hindu Goddess of agrarian culture. She is venerated by the Balinese to ensure an abundant rice harvest. Also called Cili or Rice Mother, one of the most important of all Balinese deities, she dominates over fertility and birth and is associated with The Goddess Lakshmi.
You will be receiving the exact sculpture pictured here. As in all my fine Hindu and Buddhist art this is OOAK. We found this unique statue on our recent trip to Bali. We scour the Balinese countryside in search of unique one of a kind treasures such as this.

We have worked directly with Balinese artist and crafts people since 1988. During Maine's freezing cold winters we return to Bali and our island home. While there we collaborate with the Balinese (mostly family & friends) and create special offerings for our shop. We believe our offerings should be culturally significant using local sustainable materials and craftsmanship whenever possible. Thus in turn keeping the arts alive in ever evolving fast changing Bali in the world of globalization, while enriching the lives of our family & friends whom we work with by creating a market for the beautiful art of Bali.
We also carefully curate unique one of a kind art objects and antiques and artifacts.
